Small handbag made of natural gray salmon leather

For a customer, I made the “Selvatn” handbag from a natural gray salmon leather with a smooth surface. The fish leather was tanned with alum. This technique preserves the color of the fish skin. The tanned fish skin was dyed only with a slight shade of gray. The salmon leather comes from Icelandic production. I used a vegetable-tanned cow-hide  nappa from Saxon production as lining material.
